Beowulf is a 2007 animated film adaptation of the Old English epic poem of the same name. Directed by Robert Zemeckis, the film was created through motion capture, a technique similar to that used by the director in The Polar Express. The cast includes Ray Winstone, Anthony Hopkins, Robin Wright Penn, Alison Lohman, John Malkovich, Crispin Glover, Brendan Gleeson, and Angelina Jolie. It was released in the United States, Canada and the UK on November 16, 2007, and was avaliable to view in an IMAX 3D format.Sample
